International Women’s Day is celebrated annually to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe.Women’s Day were first observed on February 28, 1909 in New York. At 1910 International Women’s Conference, March 8 was suggested to be observed as International Women’s Day. The day was then predominantly celebrated by the socialist movement and communist countries until it was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations. Girls volunteers of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER),Yelahanka, Bangalore participated in International Women’s day Rally organized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka on 8th March 2019.
International Women’s Day 2019 theme was “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”.
