Overview
To commemorate Founder’s Day and National Doctor’s Day, the Department of Pharmacy Practice, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of ABIPER (Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research) and in association with SPARSH Hospital, Yelahanka, successfully organized a Free Health Check-up & Blood Donation Camp on 1st July 2025.
The event, held at the Aditya National Public-School Ground, was conducted under the theme “A Day Dedicated to Your Health and Well-Being”, aiming to promote preventive health, early screening, and healthcare accessibility among the community.
Objectives of the Program
- To celebrate Founder’s Day and Doctor’s Day with a socially impactful initiative.
- To provide free and accessible healthcare services to the local public.
- To expose Pharm.D students to real-world clinical practice and interprofessional collaboration.
- To raise awareness on the importance of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis.
- To encourage voluntary blood donation and promote community wellness.
Healthcare Services Provided
The camp offered comprehensive, free-of-cost healthcare services, including:

✅ GRBS (Blood Sugar Testing)
✅ Electrocardiogram (ECG)
✅ Weight & BMI Check
✅ Eye Check-up
✅ Dental Screening
✅ Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Test
✅ Voluntary Blood Donation Drive
Participation and Highlights
- 300+ beneficiaries from the local community, students, and staff availed health services.
- Pharm.D students and faculty from the Department of Pharmacy Practice were actively involved in:
- Patient registration and counseling
- Clinical support and data documentation
- Educating the public on medication use and chronic disease prevention
- The event enabled practical application of classroom knowledge in areas like pharmacoeconomics, epidemiology, outcomes research, and public health communication.
- NSS volunteers played a crucial role in organizing, crowd management, and post-event feedback collection.
