ABOUT:

The Library & Information Centres of Aditya Group of Institutions serve as the knowledge hub, supporting teaching, learning, research, and innovation. The Central Library caters to the Schools of Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Allied Health Sciences through a well-equipped facility with an extensive collection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and digital resources. The library provides access to e-books, e-journals, online databases, institutional repositories, and other scholarly resources. Managed by qualified professionals, it offers user-centric services such as reference and information services, OPAC, information literacy programmes, user orientation, research support, and remote access to digital resources. By leveraging modern information and communication technologies, the library promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, lifelong learning, and research culture. It remains committed to providing equitable access to quality information resources and creating an innovative, technology-enabled learning environment that supports the vision and mission of Aditya Group of Institutions.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES:

The Central Library offers a wide range of facilities and user-centric services to support the academic, research, and information needs of its students, faculty members, researchers, and staff. The key facilities and services provided by the library are as follows:

Library Facilities:

• Fully automated library using Libsoft 9.8 Library Management Software.
• Barcode-enabled circulation system with barcoded library resources and user ID cards for efficient transactions.
• OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) for easy search and retrieval of library resources.
• Digital Library with Internet-enabled computers for accessing e-resources.
• Wi-Fi-enabled library environment.
• Spacious, well-ventilated reading halls with comfortable seating.
• Institutional Repository providing access to previous years’ question papers, dissertations/theses, faculty publications, and other digital resources.
• CCTV surveillance for enhanced security, Power backup facility, Drinking water facility, New arrivals display, Reprography facility.
• Library notice board/ WhatsApp Group for announcements and updates.

Library Services:

• Library membership and user registration.
• Book circulation services (issue, return, renewal, and reservation).
• Reference and referral services, OPAC search assistance.
• Access to e-books, e-journals, online databases, and open access resources. Digital library and remote access to electronic resources.
• Current Awareness Service (CAS) and Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI). Information literacy programmes, user orientation, and library instruction, Newspaper clipping and new arrival alert services.
• Research support services, including bibliographic, analysis and citation assistance suing SPSS, Mendeley and Zotero.
• Plagiarism awareness and similarity checking support.
• Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and document delivery services (sister libraries).
