Zoom Meeting on Sensitization in Educational Methodology for Pharmaceutical Academic Leaders by APTI

APTI conducted a scheduled zoom meeting on the topic, ‘’Sensitization in Educational Methodology for Pharmaceutical Academic Leaders on April 18, 2020 at 7.00PM to 8.30 PM. As per to the information shared by resourse person, Dr. Muneer Ahmed, Director, CDC,RGUHS, all the Teachers of ABIPER and many other teachers, under RGUHS all over Karnataka state, participated in the session.

Prasad DKN was the host presiding the meeting, some crucial and important guidance was shared to the participant teachers on Educational methodology. In the session Mr. Prasad DKN shared his views on that Education is a continuous process which as a chief goal to bring about desirable changes in the behavior of students on a relatively permanent basis. The session mainly focused on highlighting the role of teachers and importance of understanding various types of students in a class and identifying and implementing proper suitable method of teaching to be practiced for them.

The meeting focused on sharing the methods for improving the teaching skills of Academicians especially, the methods and practices for teaching Adult learners based on the type of student and their response for improving their knowledge, behavior.

This was an appreciative move by APTI for conducting Educational methodology session under COVID19 lockdown and encouraging the teachers to make a best use of the knowledge they gained through the session. Session motivated the teachers to apply the knowledge further in academics and to emerge as Pharmaceutical Academic Leaders.

COVID-19

ABIPER lends support to local communities during COVID -19 pandemic

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER),Yelahanka, Bangalore prepared and distributed 1000 bottles of hand sanitizers to the local communities including police personnel.

ABIPER also distributed essential items to the nearby communities and provided community counseling on basic protective measures against corona virus, coping with stress and advice on parenting in the time of COVID-19 to the local communities.

World Health Day 2020

The tagline of World Health Day 2020 is ‘Support nurses and midwives’. To generate attention towards their contribution during the COVID-19 outbreak, the World Health Day will “highlight the current status of nursing around the world”. 7 April 2020 is the day to celebrate the work of nurses and midwives and remind world leaders of the critical role they play in keeping the world healthy. Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response – providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.In this International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, World Health Day will highlight the current status of nursing and around the world. WHO and its partners will make a series of recommendations to strengthen of the nursing and midwifery workforce.This will be vital if we are to achieve national and global targets related to universal health coverage, maternal and child health, infectious and non-communicable diseases including mental health, emergency preparedness and response, patient safety and the delivery of integrated, people-centered care, amongst others.

On occasion of World Health Day students of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research(ABIPER) gave online seminar on “COVID-19” on 7April 2020 .

 

 

 

International Epilepsy Day-2020

International Epilepsy Day is a special event which promotes awareness of epilepsy in more than 120 countries each year. Every year on the second Monday of February people join together to celebrate and highlight the problems faced by people with epilepsy, their families and careers. For International Epilepsy Day 2020, the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) invited people of all ages to submit artwork with the theme of “Friendship and Inclusion” to their international art competition.
International Epilepsy Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 10th February 2020 at Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER),Yelahanka, Bangalore in the college premises.

We believe that through our positive actions, together we can reach the target of reducing the number of premature deaths from cancer and no communicable diseases by one third by 2030.
