Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research organized guest lecture by Dr. Charan Kamal Singh Dullat, Community Pharmacist and Member, Alberta Council of Canada on the Topic “Opportunities for Pharmacists in Canada; Community Pharmacy Practice Services” on 27/04/2018 accompanied by Dr.Anantha Nayak Nagappa, Prof and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal University
The lecture stressed on evolution of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy services since 1975 which has taken drastic change from traditional Pharmacy services to contemporary prescribing model of data assessment plan (DAP) according to additional prescribing authorization (APA) guidelines. Added on, a Clinical Pharmacist should collaborate with other healthcare profession by implementing ethics, professionalism and leadership as a key for success. Also briefed on importance of prescribing limitations approved by health Canada for Pharmacists. He revealed relevant facts to acquire Pharmacist license in abroad. His thought provoking speech for the students to keep the vision straight, sharp and never matter about the barriers on the way to achieve success in serving community was highlight of lecture.
Dr. Anantha Nayak Nagappa remarked on recent steps taken by the PCI to make the difference in community pharmacy services in India.

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka Bangalore’s Graduation and Annual Day 2018 celebrations were held at their Indoor Stadium on 24 th April 2018.While addressing the students, the Chief Guest, Dr.S.Ramananda Shetty, Former Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) stressed on the importance of Pharmacy Education and its origin, more specifically on the Pharm.D course which entitles the Pharmacist professionals to have direct involvement in the health care sector and appreciated ABIPER which is one among the pioneer institutions in commencing the Pharm. D course. He also delivered his thought-provoking speech on the importance of Graduation, Graduation Day, the distinction between the level of education and degree, essence of education to the community, insisted on the students to cope up with the technological advancement, challenges and uncertainties and lauded the Teachers’ efforts and Parents’ Sacrifice to achieve all these skills. The chief guest specially congratulated university rank holders of ABIPER and achievers of National level sports competitions.
The Guest of Honor, Sri.Bhagoji T Khanapure, Drugs Controller, Government of Karnataka while congratulating the graduating students highlighted that the actual learning process starts only after the graduation, stressed the need for hard work, taking up challenging tasks and the importance of unity and wholeheartedness in carrying out the profession. While briefing on the significance of the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry and employment opportunities for Pharmacist, he indicated that efforts are being made to recognize Pharm .D as a qualified degree for government posts.
The function was followed by Certificate and Prize Distribution for academic toppers, sports, achievement awards to Teachers and Cultural Programs.

Annual Sports Meet 2017-18 was organized by Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research on 20th April 2018. Dr.P.C.Krishnaswamy, Chairman, Physical Education Department, Bangalore University, Bangalore was the chief guest of the programme. The chief guest’s inspirational speech motivated the students.Athletic events & other tournaments were conducted on the same day.






Pharm D internship students of ABIPER conducted Counselling Programme on 22nd February 2018 for students of M.P.U. School,Kokkiliputtuga, Srikakulam, AP,regarding maintaince of personal hygiene,self discipline and prevention of some diseases like measles,mumps,typhoid and malaria.
