The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of ABIPER, Bangalore, organized a comprehensive technical and entrepreneurial session celebrating National Technology Day on 3rd June 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the ABIPER Seminar Hall. The event focused on macro technology trajectories, emerging digital architectures, and real-world student startup execution.

• Inaugural Address: The Master of Ceremonies, Mrs. Varsha from the Department of Pharmacognosy, opened the session by presenting formal governance respects to the Chairman Sir, Director Sir, and Vice-Principal Dr. Sowjanya Ma’am. She detailed the credentials of the expert guest speaker and transferred technical proceedings to him.
• Expert Speaker: Dr. Naveen Kumar C, Professor and Head of Computer Science and Engineering at Aditya College of Engineering and Technology, led the core instructional lecture.
• Student Presenters: Sachin and team, a student research and startup group mentored by Dr. Naveen Kumar C, presented the practical application segment of the seminar.

He analysed how these architectures drive modern economic expansion, elevate healthcare and education, and structurally optimize traditional business processes.

The session highlighted critical domestic milestones shaping the technical domain, including ISRO space missions, the Digital India initiative, 5G implementation, and UPI digital payment platforms. The speaker highlighted how localized innovation improves global industrial productivity and supports green technologies, renewable systems, and waste management cycles.

3. Student Innovation Showcase: GRAMXPRESS App

Following the technology framework overview, control was handed over to Sachin and team to showcase their innovative app, GRAMXPRESS (“Empowering Rural Commerce, One Delivery at a Time”).

• Operational Purpose: It functions as a digital storefront and localized logistics network connecting rural producers directly with consumer channels.
• Socio-Economic Impact: The platform targets grassroots development by creating direct employment positions in delivery networks, local vendor management, and rural supply chain coordination while eliminating traditional distributor overheads.

The International Clinical Trials Day 2026 session was organized by the Indian Society for Clinical Research (ISCR) in collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific at the Xenon North Building, Bagmane Solarium City, Bengaluru, on May 27, 2026. The session aimed to provide students with knowledge regarding the clinical research industry and various departments involved in clinical trials.

The program began with a welcome address and the presence of professionals from Thermo Fisher Scientific and PPD. The speakers provided an overview of the company, explaining its role in clinical research and drug development.

Various departments such as Project Management, Human Resources (HR), Clinical Data Management (CDM), and Quality Assurance (QA), Pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory affairs, were explained briefly, highlighting their roles and responsibilities in conducting clinical trials.

An interactive Question and Answer session was conducted where students actively interacted with the speakers and clarified their doubts regarding clinical research and career opportunities.

Lunch was arranged for all participants, followed by the distribution of certificates. Overall, the session was informative and beneficial for students interested in the field of clinical research.

Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm at Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) on 26^th January 2026. The programme was organized by ABIPER to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honor the spirit of democracy.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. Faculty members, staff, and students participated actively in the event. Patriotic speeches highlighted the significance of Republic Day and the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Students presented cultural programmes such as patriotic songs, speeches, and performances that reflected national unity and integrity. The entire campus was filled with a sense of patriotism and respect for the nation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The Republic Day celebration at ABIPER inspired everyone to uphold constitutional values and contribute responsibly towards the progress of the nation.

Saraswati Puja was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) on 23^rd January 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami. The event was organized by ABIPER to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, wisdom, and learning.

The programme began in the morning with the installation of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, which was beautifully decorated with flowers and traditional ornaments. The puja was performed by a priest with Vedic chants and mantras. Students and faculty members actively participated in the ceremony. Books, pens, and musical instruments were placed before the Goddess to receive her blessings.

Students were dressed in traditional white and yellow attire, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. After the puja, Prasad was distributed among all present. Cultural activities such as devotional songs and recitations were also organized.

The celebration concluded peacefully and successfully. The Saraswati Puja celebration at ABIPER inspired students to respect education and cultural values.

As part of the 74^th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC), Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) successfully organized a three-day national-level academic conference on “AI-Powered Drug Discovery” from 19^th to 21^st December 2025 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.

The conference aimed to expose students, researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and its applications across the drug discovery and pharmaceutical research lifecycle, while strengthening collaboration between industry and academia.

Day 1 – December 19, 2025

The first day of the conference was chaired by Dr. M. D. Dhanaraju, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Godavari Global University (GGU). The Chairperson formally invited the speakers and guided the day’s proceedings.

• Dr. Achintya Das, Head – Digital Transformation and Modeling, Syngene International, delivered a session on the current status and challenges of AI in drug discovery, highlighting real-world industrial perspectives.
• Dr. Raghu R., CEO, Molecular Solutions, spoke on AI-powered drug discovery technologies for Pharma R&D, emphasizing next-generation computational platforms.
• Dr. Jitesh Doshi, Senior Research Scientist, Peptris Technologies Pvt. Ltd., explained AI-based approaches to predict activity from binding poses in early-stage drug discovery.
• Dr. Viswanadhan, Vice President, Molecular Solutions, presented insights on AI-accelerated hit identification and virtual screening.
• Dr. Santosh Kumar N. Patil, Director, Syngene International Limited, and Dr. R. Muruganantham, Senior Principal Investigator, Syngene International Limited, jointly discussed the medicinal chemist’s perspective on AI, its opportunities, challenges, and future direction.

After each session, participants actively interacted with the speakers through question-and-answer discussions, which enriched the learning experience. • Dr. Raja, Founder & CEO, Genotypic Technology, delivered a session on AI-driven genomics and its role in modern drug discovery.
• Mr. Anbu Dinesh Jayakumar, Applications Scientist, Molecular Solutions, conducted sessions on AI-powered retrosynthesis, process chemistry, impurity prediction, and high-throughput screening, including live demonstrations.
• Dr. Ravi, Chief Scientific Officer, Pharm DEM, spoke on AI-powered formulation intelligence to accelerate pharmaceutical R&D.
• Dr. Viswanath, Principal Scientist – DMPK, Jubilant Biosys, discussed the role of AI and ML in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
• Dr. Sooriya Kumar, Associate Director, Jubilant Biosys, presented on reinforcement learning-based molecular generation in drug discovery.
• Dr. Jagadish, Vice President, Pharmaids, emphasized the importance of domain expertise in preventing errors in AI-driven drug discovery.
• Mr. Kamaraj, CSO, TransGene IT Solutions, highlighted why electronic lab notebooks are essential for AI-ready research environments.

Day 3 – December 21, 2025

The final day of the conference was chaired by Dr. Raghu R., CEO, Molecular Solutions, who invited the speakers and moderated the sessions.

• Dr. V. N. Balaji, Drug Discovery Research Advisor, delivered a session on AI-powered JNK1 hit prediction using advanced descriptors for improved classification and regression.
• Ms. Nandhini Balan, Regulatory Affairs Associate, AstraZeneca, presented a session on CTIS and digital innovations shaping the future of clinical trial submissions.

Participants actively engaged with the speakers through interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. The speakers were felicitated by the Chairperson at the conclusion of the sessions. The NSS Unit of ABIPER observed National Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 by organizing activities such as a constitution awareness rally, pledge-taking ceremony, and multilingual Preamble reading in six languages—English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil. The program aimed to promote constitutional values, unity, and awareness among students.

The event successfully reinforced the importance of democracy, justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
