The MC then introduced Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Vice-Principal, ABIPER. She further explained the significance of professionalism, responsibility, and discipline in student life. Drawing inspiration from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, she emphasised that discipline is an important foundation for success. The students were encouraged to develop professional conduct and understand the responsibilities associated with being healthcare professionals.
A high tea break was provided during the session. Following the break, Dr. Sowjanya Battu continued her session, provided an overview of the college rules and regulations, including attendance and punctuality, academic discipline, laboratory and practical safety, dress code and personal conduct, campus discipline and protection of institutional property, anti-ragging measures and student safety, examinations and evaluation, responsible use of digital and social media platforms, leave and permission procedures, and appropriate communication with the institution. The importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and academically focused campus environment, along with punctuality and integrity, was emphasised.
The principal’s message conveyed good wishes to the newly admitted students and encouraged them to make the best use of the academic opportunities and facilities available at the institution.
An interactive Ice Breaker Session was subsequently conducted by the faculty coordinators, Ms. Survi and Ms. Harshitha. The activities included guessing and jumbling-word exercises and informal interaction with students regarding their hobbies, talents, interests, and participation in sports and other activities. The session provided an opportunity for students to interact with one another and participate actively in the orientation programme.
The students were also shown video bites highlighting the Aditya Group of Institutions (AGI), ABIPER Pharmacy College, and Aditya Habba, providing them with an overview of the institution’s academic environment, activities, and student life. This was followed by a presentation highlighting the excellence and achievements of ABIPER, along with a presentation on the professional journey and achievements of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman.
The orientation session concluded with an overview of the upcoming orientation sessions and programme schedule, enabling students to understand the activities planned for the subsequent days.
