National Youth Day Celebration – 2026

Our college students actively participated in the National Youth Day celebration held on 12 January 2026 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru – 560003, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The programme featured an inspiring discussion on the theme “Beyond Coding: How AI is Redefining Creativity, Careers, and Leadership.” Eminent speakers shared valuable insights on leadership, innovation, and the evolving role of youth in the age of Artificial Intelligence.

National Youth Day 2026 – A Celebration of Youth Leadership and Inspiration

National Youth Day 2026 was celebrated with enthusiasm and active participation of 100 students in association with NSS unit of ABIPER. The programme featured an inspiring Talkathon by Mr. Satyam Vishwakarma, Ms. Neetu Devi, Mr. G. Karthik, and Mr. Jashwanth, who shared valuable insights on leadership, discipline, and personal development.

The event also included a Leadership Pledge and a motivational address by Mr. Manju C, encouraging students to stay confident, responsible, and goal-oriented. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving students inspired by the message: “Believe in yourself, respect time, and never give up.”

The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of ABIPER organized a Women Empowerment Programme on the occasion of Savitribai Phule Birth Anniversary. The program aimed to create awareness among students about women’s education, social justice, gender equality, and empowerment. The event focused on inspiring students through talks, presentations, videos, and art-based activities.

Inauguration and Welcome

The programme commenced at 11:10 AM in the Seminar Hall, ABIPER. The event was compered by Mrs. Varsha Bagewadi Madam, who welcomed the gathering and introduced the theme of the programme.

About Savitribai Phule

The significance of Savitribai Phule was highlighted during the session. She was remembered as:

  • A great social reformer
  • The first female teacher in India
  • A pioneer who worked extensively for women education
  • A strong advocate of social transformation and equality

Her contributions towards building a progressive society and empowering women through education were emphasized.

Presentation Session

A detailed presentation on the life, work, and contributions of Savitribai Phule was delivered by Ms. Priya Kumar. The presentation focused on:

  • Her role in promoting women’s education
  • Her efforts towards social reforms
  • Her contribution to society in creating awareness and equality

The session helped students understand the importance of education as a tool for empowerment.

Poem Recitation

Ms. Priya Kumar also recited a poem titled “Go, Get Education”, written by Savitribai Phule. The poem inspired students to value education and strive for self-confidence and independence.

Address by Faculty

The faculty members were invited to share their thoughts. The speakers emphasized:

Special Address by Dr. Sowjanya Battu

Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Member Secretary, Women Empowerment Cell, delivered an inspiring speech. Her address covered the following key points:

  • Sharing her life experiences
  • Emphasizing the importance of education
  • Discussing how society has historically dominated women
  • Highlighting the need for gender equality
  • Explaining concepts of social justice and women empowerment
  • Stressing the role of youth and students in bringing social change

She concluded her speech with the powerful quote by Savitribai Phule:

“Rise, learn and act. Do not submit to injustice.”

Her speech greatly motivated the students to be confident, aware, and socially responsible.

Screening of Inspirational Videos

Inspirational videos related to women empowerment and social awareness were screened from 12:10 PM to 12:32 PM. The videos encouraged students to believe in themselves and work towards equality and empowerment.

Art and Skill Exhibition

As part of the celebration, a Skill Exhibition and Best Out of Waste Exhibition were organized.

Students showcased their creativity by preparing useful and decorative items from waste materials. The exhibits highlighted innovation, environmental awareness, and practical skills. Teaching and non-teaching staff also actively participated and supported the event.

The programme emphasized the importance of women empowerment, self-reliance, and skill development, reflecting the values and vision of Savitribai Phule.

  • The event witnessed good coordination and teamwork Prize Distribution:
  • Prizes were awarded to students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff for their outstanding performance in the Skill Exhibition and Best Out of Waste Exhibition. Prizes were distributed to encourage and motivate the participants.

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) Conducted Medical Camp during KUSO 33rd Annual Day Celebrations.

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER) actively participated in the 33rd Annual Day Celebration of Karnataka United Saurashtra Organisation (KUSO) held on Sunday, 04 January 2026, at Natakashirmani A.V. Varadachar Memorial Art Association, Bengaluru.
As part of its commitment to community health and social responsibility, ABIPER organized and conducted a Medical Camp during the celebration. The camp aimed to provide basic healthcare services, health screening, and medication counselling to the community members attending the event.
The programme was presided over by Prof. Dr. B.A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, Bengaluru, and former Senate Member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Government of Karnataka. The event was graced by Commander Giri K. Sridharan, Command Public Relations Officer, Indian Navy, as the Chief Guest, along with other distinguished Guests of Honour.

Through the medical camp, ABIPER faculty members and student volunteers offered services including general health check-ups, blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring, and awareness on disease prevention and rational use of medicines. ABIPER Conducts Three-Day National Conference on “AI-Powered Drug Discovery” during 74th IPC

As part of the 74th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC), Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) successfully organized a three-day national-level academic conference on “AI-Powered Drug Discovery” from 19th to 21st December 2025 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.

The conference aimed to expose students, researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and its applications across the drug discovery and pharmaceutical research lifecycle, while strengthening collaboration between industry and academia.

Day 1 – December 19, 2025

The first day of the conference was chaired by Dr. M. D. Dhanaraju, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Godavari Global University (GGU). The Chairperson formally invited the speakers and guided the day’s proceedings.

  • Dr. Achintya Das, Head – Digital Transformation and Modeling, Syngene International, delivered a session on the current status and challenges of AI in drug discovery, highlighting real-world industrial perspectives.
  • Dr. Raghu R., CEO, Molecular Solutions, spoke on AI-powered drug discovery technologies for Pharma R&D, emphasizing next-generation computational platforms.
  • Dr. Jitesh Doshi, Senior Research Scientist, Peptris Technologies Pvt. Ltd., explained AI-based approaches to predict activity from binding poses in early-stage drug discovery.
  • Dr. Viswanadhan, Vice President, Molecular Solutions, presented insights on AI-accelerated hit identification and virtual screening.
  • Dr. Santosh Kumar N. Patil, Director, Syngene International Limited, and Dr. R. Muruganantham, Senior Principal Investigator, Syngene International Limited, jointly discussed the medicinal chemist’s perspective on AI, its opportunities, challenges, and future direction.

After each session, participants actively interacted with the speakers through question-and-answer discussions, which enriched the learning experience. The speakers were felicitated by the Chairperson at the end of the sessions. The day concluded with a closing session by Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Vice Principal, ABIPER.

The second day was chaired by Dr. V. Kusum Devi, Principal, NITTE College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who invited the speakers and facilitated the sessions.

  • Dr. Raja, Founder & CEO, Genotypic Technology, delivered a session on AI-driven genomics and its role in modern drug discovery.
  • Mr. Anbu Dinesh Jayakumar, Applications Scientist, Molecular Solutions, conducted sessions on AI-powered retrosynthesis, process chemistry, impurity prediction, and high-throughput screening, including live demonstrations.
  • Dr. Ravi, Chief Scientific Officer, Pharm DEM, spoke on AI-powered formulation intelligence to accelerate pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Dr. Viswanath, Principal Scientist – DMPK, Jubilant Biosys, discussed the role of AI and ML in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
  • Dr. Sooriya Kumar, Associate Director, Jubilant Biosys, presented on reinforcement learning-based molecular generation in drug discovery.
  • Dr. Jagadish, Vice President, Pharmaids, emphasized the importance of domain expertise in preventing errors in AI-driven drug discovery.
  • Mr. Kamaraj, CSO, TransGene IT Solutions, highlighted why electronic lab notebooks are essential for AI-ready research environments.

The day also featured a Career Opportunities in Pharma panel discussion, offering guidance on emerging roles and required skill sets. After interactive Q&A sessions, the speakers were felicitated by the Chairperson, followed by the closing remarks by Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Vice Principal, ABIPER.

The final day of the conference was chaired by Dr. Raghu R., CEO, Molecular Solutions, who invited the speakers and moderated the sessions.

  • Dr. V. N. Balaji, Drug Discovery Research Advisor, delivered a session on AI-powered JNK1 hit prediction using advanced descriptors for improved classification and regression.
  • Ms. Nandhini Balan, Regulatory Affairs Associate, AstraZeneca, presented a session on CTIS and digital innovations shaping the future of clinical trial submissions.

Participants actively engaged with the speakers through interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. The speakers were felicitated by the Chairperson at the conclusion of the sessions. The conference concluded with a closing session by Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Vice Principal, ABIPER, who thanked the Chairpersons, speakers, participants, and organizing team.

New Year Celebration 2026 was organised on 2nd January 2026 at the Seminar Hall of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER). The event marked the beginning of the new academic year with a positive and motivational atmosphere.
Honourable Chairman, Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, addressed the gathering and appreciated the sincere efforts of all departments of the Aditya Group of Institutions (AGI) for their commendable performance during 2025, emphasizing dedication, discipline, and collaborative work as key drivers of institutional success
