National Science Day 2019

National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman on 28th February 1928. The basic objective of Science Day is to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. Students of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore demonstrated various science projects as well as their latest researches. The celebration also includes public speech, science exhibition based on themes and concepts, competitions, science models exhibitions and many more activities.
Theme of National Science Day 2019 was “Science for the People and the People for Science”.

In a thrilling final match Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology BSF Campus, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka, emerged the winners of the prestigious Presidency University Football Tournament.Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER),Yelahanka,Bangalore Karnataka, won the runners up trophy of the prestigious Presidency University Football Tournament.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences State Level Men & Women Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament

RGUHS-STATE-LEVEL-BASKETBALL-TOURNAMENT

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences State Level Inter-Collegiate Men & Women Basketball Tournament was inaugurated at the Aditya Multi-Sports Indoor Stadium on the 19 th February 2019. This prestigious tournament was hosted by Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore from 19th to 21st February 2019
The Chief Guest Dr. Linge Gowda K.B, Registrar (Evaluation), RGUHS-Bangalore, spoke about the importance of promoting sports participation in professional colleges. He emphasized that facilities for conducting sports should be available in all institutions. Dr. Linge Gowda appreciated the vision and efforts of Dr. B. A. Viswanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, in developing an excellent indoor stadium and encouraging students to take part in extra-curricular activities. Mr. Anil Kumar B.K, an international basketball player who has represented India in several international championships, was the Guest of Honor. He urged the students to cultivate dedication and determination to excel, which would take them beyond the state level to participating in national and international championships. Dr. B.A.Viswanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions and Senate Member, RGUHS, Karnataka, who graced the occasion, thanked the honorable Dr .S .Sachidanand, Vice-Chancellor, RGUHS for providing ABIPER the opportunity to conduct a state level basketball tournament. He congratulated all the participants and wished them a pleasant stay at the college premises.
Thirty teams (22 men teams & 8 women teams) from various colleges in Karnataka participated in the RGUHS State Level Men & Women Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament championship.
In a thrilling final match, Bangalore medical college and research institute, K R road, Karnataka, emerged the winners of the prestigious RGUHS State Level Men’s basketball tournament. SDM College of Medical Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, was the runners up. The women’s team from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore won the Women’s trophy. The runners up were the women’s team from St. John’s Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore.

The Indian Pharmaceutical Congress is a National annual event of pharmacist from all walks of pharmacy profession to deliberate various issues relating to industry, regulatory, academia, hospital and community pharmacy and to evolve collective wisdom for formulating newer policies for the country in the relevant fields and for the betterment of mankind.IPCA organizes the IPC every year with an objective “To advance and promote the cause of Pharmaceuticals Sciences and Profession of pharmacy in all their aspects so as to ensure that Indian Pharmacy Products and profession are the best in the world and to help the public to get the best benefit out of the same.” IPCA organized the first IPC under the leadership of Prof. M.L. Schroff, also known as the Father of Pharmacy in India, in Calcutta in December 1948.
The 70th IPC-2018 was held at Amity University Delhi- NCR during 21st-23rd December 2018 and was hosted by Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA)& organised by Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) with the theme – “Pharma Vision 2030: Indian Pharma Industry – A global leader” with the objectives of projecting latest technological developments, showcasing the latest products, machinery and equipment including the advances in Research & Development.The 70th IPCAmityUniversity, Invited leaders from Pharma Industry, Regulatory, Academia, Research, Hospital and Community across the globe to deliberate and present their vision in their respective areas and views about the major role a Pharmacy professional can play in the health care system of the country in years to come.
