Mr. Giridhar Gowda brought pride to our institution with an impressive medal haul:
Silver – 110m Hurdles
Bronze – Triple Jump
2nd Runner-up – 400m Hurdles
2nd Runner-up – Steeplechase
His exceptional performance on the track is a testament to his tireless work, unwavering dedication, and extraordinary athleticism. Giridhar’s victory is not just a personal achievement, but also an inspiration to all athletes who strive for excellence. The precision, agility, and focus required for the 110 m hurdles event make it one of the most challenging disciplines in athletics. Giridhar’s triumph clearly reflects his discipline and relentless training, and he has certainly set a high standard for others to follow.
We are incredibly proud of his accomplishment and wish him continued success in all future athletic endeavours.

World Sight Day Rally Participation

On 19 October 2025, the students of   Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), along with staff member Mr. Manju, actively participated in the World Sight Day rally organised by NSS Cell of RGUHS at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. The rally aimed to promote awareness on eye health, prevention of avoidable blindness, and the importance of regular eye check-ups. Participants from various institutions affiliated to RGUHS marched with placards and raised slogans in support of vision care and eye donation. The involvement of ABIPER students reflected their enthusiasm towards social and health-related causes. The event not only spread an important message to the public but also encouraged students to engage in community-oriented activities with responsibility and commitment.

ABIPER Graduation Ceremony 2025

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER), celebrated its Graduation Ceremony 2025 with grandeur at the ABIPER Auditorium.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Founder, Principal & Chairman of ABIPER. The event was graced by Mr. Sural Jayaprakash Mady, B.Pharm (Gold Medalist), Director of Bangalore Pharmaceuticals & Research Laboratory Pvt. Ltd., and former Managing Director of Wintac Ltd., as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Dr. M. D. Karvekar, Former EC Member, Pharmacy Council of India, and Governing Council Member of ABIPER.

Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Vice Chairperson of Aditya Group of Institutions, served as the Patron, and Dr. Paranjyothi Kanni, Principal Scientist at Bengaluru Allergy Centre, as the Research Advisor and Chief Patron.

Program Highlights

After the guests arrived, Aditya Group of Institutions video was played, followed by the Invocation Song, Karnataka State Song, and Vande Mataram.The Lamp Lighting Ceremony was conducted by the dignitaries along with three students, marking the auspicious beginning of the event.

Dr. Sowjanya Battu, Vice Principal of ABIPER, delivered the Welcome speech, expressing gratitude to all the distinguished guests and attendees. Dr. B. A. Vishwanath then welcomed the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour with saplings, followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Dr. Paranjyothi.

Dr. B. A. Vishwanath formally declared the Graduation Day open, initiating the ceremony with pride and enthusiasm.

Guest Speeches

Mr. Sural Jayaprakash Mady, Chief Guest, in his speech, motivated the graduates by saying,

“The degree you hold today is the ladder to your future.”

He encouraged students to face life’s challenges with a positive attitude, adding,

“The only person you are destined to become in life is the person you desire to be.”

Dr. M. D. Karvekar, Guest of Honour, spoke about the evolution of pharmacy education in India from its beginnings to the present day, with numerous colleges across the country. He fondly recalled how Dr. B. A. Vishwanath once worked under the guidance of the Chief Guest, and how Dr. Karvekar himself was the teacher of the Chief Guest, a moment reflecting the legacy of mentorship within the pharmacy fraternity.

Dr. Paranjyothi, Research Advisory, highlighted that graduation marks a milestone in a student’s life. He shared an inspiring analogy:

“A bigger caterpillar tells a smaller one — neither you nor I will remain caterpillars, because we will soon become butterflies.”

He urged students to be visionary, innovative, ethical, and compassionate, emphasizing that pharmacy is an evergreen and superpower field. He also reminded them to always remain grateful to their teachers and parents.

Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman of ABIPER, proudly addressed the gathering, mentioning that this was ABIPER’s 15th Graduation Ceremony. He commended the students’ achievements and their participation in the upcoming Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) scheduled for December 19–21, 2025. He also echoed Dr. Paranjyothi’s butterfly analogy, wishing all graduates a bright and successful future.

Graduation and Awards

The heart of the ceremony—the Conferring of Degrees—unfolded with great pride and dignity. Each moment resonated with the joy of accomplishment as graduates stepped onto the stage to receive their degrees, symbolizing years of dedication, perseverance, and passion for the pharmacy profession.

The ceremony progressed in the following order:

  • M. Pharm: 22 graduates
  • B. Pharm: 90 graduates
  • Pharm D: 25 graduates
  • D. Pharm: 22 graduates

Awards were conferred under the following categories:

  • Academic Awards – For exceptional scholastic performance and consistent academic brilliance.
  • Best Outgoing Student Awards – For individuals who exemplified leadership, integrity, and all-round excellence.
  • Research Excellence Awards – For remarkable contributions to scientific innovation and inquiry.
  • Sports Awards – For outstanding achievements in athletics and for promoting the spirit of teamwork and perseverance.

Ceremony featured heartfelt speeches from M.Pharm, B.Pharm, and Pharm D graduates, expressing gratitude for the guidance and opportunities provided by ABIPER.

B.Pharm student humorously described Dr. B. A. Vishwanath as “a great tree whose roots are his wife,” acknowledging their joint support to students.

Conclusion

The event concluded with the Presidential Address, Vote of Thanks, and the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a joyful Photo Session. Delicious food was served to all guests, graduates, and attendees, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.

The day marked a memorable milestone in the academic journey of ABIPER students – celebrating not only their success and transformation but also the institution’s continued commitment to excellence in pharmacy education and research.
