RGUHS Bengaluru North Zone Kabaddi Men Tournament 2024-25-slider

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bengaluru North Zone Kabaddi Tournament was hosted by the Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER) on 30 th to 31st August 2024. 23 teams and 270 players from various colleges in Karnataka participated in Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru North Zone Kabaddi Tournament.

In a thrilling final match, Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore, emerged the winners of the prestigious RGUHS, Bengaluru North Zone Kabaddi Tournament. Sridevi College of Physiotherapy, Tumkur was the runners -up.

Commencing with a flag-raising ceremony where the national anthem was sung. The pledge was taken. Highly engaging patriotic It was a meaningful way to honour the significance of this day.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, ABIPER, organized a seminar on “Computer aided approaches in cutting edge drug discovery with BIOVIA Discovery Studio” by Dr. Sakshi Bhardwaj, Application Scientist, Altem Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Sakshi Bhardwaj, delivered a scientific session on QSAR modelling, Pharmacophore modelling, Homology modelling, Virtual screening, High throughput virtual screening, Structure based drug design, Ligand based drug design, Docking, Molecular Simulation, and its application in drug discovery and drug development. She highlighted the features of Biovia Discovery Studio which have been used for drug design and development. She cited several examples where this software was used for the discovery of new drugs and vaccines. She emphasised that the in-silico work done on Biovia Discovery Studio are published internationally in high indexed journals and encouraged students and faculty members to work on Discovery Studio software.

Around 87 participants comprising students of different UG & PG programs along with the faculty members attended the lecture, and all the queries put forward by the audience were categorically addressed by the expert.
