
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide. Women’s Day was first observed on February 28, 1909, in New York. At 1910 International Women’s Conference, March 8 was suggested to be observed as International Women’s Day. The day was then predominantly celebrated by the socialist movement and communist countries until it was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations. International Women’s Day was celebrated by Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore on 14th March 2025.
International Women’s Day 2025 theme was “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment”.
