RGUHS conducted a scheduled CISCO-WEBEX conference, an online training program for Health care Pharmacy Professionals -COVID-19 on April 21,2020 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM. for prevention, control, containment and management od COVID-19 cases in Karnataka.
Dr. Sachidanand S, Vice Chancellor, RGUHS inaugurated the session and gave the introduction for the session followed by spokespersons Mr. Jaiprakash S Vastrad, Sr. General Manager- pharmacy, Sagar Hospitals, Bangalore spoke on the topic- Role of Pharmacist During Covid 19 Pandemic crisis. Dr. S Ramachandra Shetty, Professor, Govt. college of Pharmacy, Bangalore shared information on the topic Role of Pharmacist in tackling COVID-19 with emphasis on currently used drugs and masks. Dr. Shivanand, Professor, Mallige College of pharmacy shared the screen by sharing the importance of hand wash and formulation of sanitizer. Dr. Shobha rani, Dean & Principal,Al Ameen college of pharmacy,RGUHS spoke on Opening remarks& Role of pharmacists in management of COVID-19 and gave a take home message on responsibility of community pharmacist, ayurveda’s immunity boosting measures for self care, preventive measures, PM’S 7 steps to be followed & request for pharmacy customers to follow safety measures.
