Personality Development Session Titled “Valuing the Values.”

Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education & Research (ABIPER), in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Bangalore (Urban) Local Branch, organized an insightful Personality Development Session titled “Valuing the Values.”
The program was designed to enrich staff members’ personal and professional lives by instilling core ethical values, stress management techniques, and practical mindfulness routines in alignment with the ongoing 90th Anniversary celebrations of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.

1. Introduction & Organizational Vision
Resource Person: BK Brother Raghu Nandan (Brahma Kumari Coordinator)
Highlighted the international reach of Brahma Kumaris—established in 1936 as a spiritual and social NGO, now serving across 140 countries with over 9,000 Raja Yoga centres.
Shared the organization’s core focus on free education and digital platforms that help individuals reconnect, rediscover, restore, and revise their true inner potential.
Introduced practical Raja Yoga meditation and the “Just a Minute” pause technique to help educators stay centered amidst daily complexities.
2. Core Address: “Valuing the Values”
Resource Person: Rajayogini BK Sister Kala (Brahma Kumari Admin)
Defined “Values” as the underlying criteria, guidelines, and principles required for any system to function seamlessly.
Emphasized that without defined values and structure, organizations and personal lives face chaos and operational collapse.
Highlighted the need to rebuild family values and personal routines, illustrating how managing large groups or institutions requires the same patience and structure as managing a family.
Encouraged participants to define their life’s primary objective: living peacefully, happily, and healthily starting from controlled, positive thinking.3. Mind Control & Practical Meditation
Resource Person: BK Sister Dr. Vijayalakshmi (Brahma Kumari Meditation Teacher)
Discussed practical ways to catch and reframe negative or disturbing thoughts when they arise.
Introduced the D.E.A.R. Method for instant mental relaxation:
D – Drop
E – Everything
A – And
R – Relax
Conducted a live guided meditation and breathing exercise, giving attendees hands-on experience in generating positive mental energy.
Conclusion
The session successfully inspired the faculty and staff of ABIPER to integrate practical values and mindfulness techniques into their daily routines. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, a photo session, and a vote of thanks dedicated to the resource persons, patrons, and organizational coordinators.
