Saraswati Puja 2018

Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, arts, aesthetics, literature, music, and sciences in Indian culture. She is equivalent to nine muses that were considered source of inspiration in Greek and Roman cultures. In India, Saraswati is worshipped for inspiration to do well in the above mentioned spheres.
Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER),Yelahanka, Bengaluru celebrated Saraswati Puja in the college premises on 17 October 2018.Dr.B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, Yelahanka, Bengaluru graced the occasion. Management, staff & students performed the puja with great devotion.

RGUHS Men’s Inter Zone and Women’s Single Zone Basketball Tournament and Selection Trials 2018-2019

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Men’s Inter Zone and Women’s Single Zone Basketball Tournament and Selection Trials 2018-2019 organized by Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore, on 10 and 11 October 2018, at Aditya Multi Sports Indoor Stadium.
There was a lot of excitement and action at the Aditya Multi Sports Indoor Stadium on the 10th and 11th October 2018 when Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), Yelahanka, Bangalore, organized the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Men’s Inter Zone and Women’s Single Zone Basketball Tournament and Selection Trials 2018-2019. Mr. Roby Thomas, a national level basketball player, was the guest of honor. Dr. B.A. Viswanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions and Senate Member, RGUHS, Karnataka, graced the occasion. In his address, Mr. Thomas advised the participants to focus on the game. He encouraged them to strive and take their game to a high level so that they could compete in state, national and international championships. Dr. B.A. Viswanath conveyed his best wishes to all the participants. He urged them to be passionate about the game and emulate the world-renowned basketball icons Michael Jordan and Lauren Jackson.

Teams from various zones participated in the men’s inter zone tournament. The women’s single zone tournament and selection trials had teams from several colleges participating.
SDM College of Medical Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, was the winner in the RGUHS Men’s Inter Zone tournament. They emerged champions by defeating Mysore Medical College & Research Institute. The team from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College won the Women’s Single Zone tournament, defeating JJM Medical College, Davangere.

World Heart Day 2018

On occasion of World Heart Day staff and students of Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research along with Manasa Trinity Heart Hospital organized a rally on September 29 with an intention to create awareness about the importance of living healthy for a healthy heart.
World Heart Day is celebrated on September 29 of every year. It is aimed at drawing people’s attention to heart illness and the range of associated health issues. The day is commemorated to promote different preventative steps and changes in lifestyle to avoid any cardiovascular diseases, like heart attack, stroke, heart failure and any other condition related to the same. Cardiovascular disease is the world’s number one killer today. On average, more than 17 million people die from heart-related illnesses every year.
